UX Tool Guide

April 5, 2019 Conecta Software

User experience optimization (UX= User Experience) has managed to become a universal solution to the problems of an ecommerce.

If you have an online store and you feel that things are not going well and you are not selling what you have set out to do, do youould it be the design of your website that fails?

Usability and UX

The user experience (UX) is a step above SEO, digital conversion and web design.

It is the users who will decide the success or failure of the website. Therefore, we must optimize their experience and lock the key point which is a good UX design that provides them with an environment as intuitive as possible.

Today, with so much digital content, new apps and the integration of everything with virtual environments, UX Design (User Experience Design) is increasingly in demand.

The purpose is to eliminate those frictions or  'little problemsthat, in addition to each other, make the users move away from the main objective: the sale.

"88% users say they wouldn't return to a website after a first negative experience.

Tips for optimizing the User Experience (UX)

Reduce the menu

One of the most common errors in a badly designed UX site is putting too many links in the menu.

This makes it more difficult for the user to choose an option. So it is much more effective to simplify and branch out by clearing the path of irrelevant content.

Video in a big way

If you are going to include videos, make sure that when the user hits play, the video is of sufficient size, especially on mobiles.

Strength of Negative Space

By offering fewer items to focus on, you decrease the user's workload. How do you get something to really stand out? By creating space around it.

The space around the object is the negative space, white space.

It's simple: the more space there is around an object, the more it will attract your gaze.

Call for attention

Do you know the famous Call to action? Then focus on the visual part of the CTAbecause if you want action, you have to get attention.

Long scroll and lazy load

A great recommendation to incorporate into ecommerce, is the long scrolltogether with the lazy load to load the images as they scroll down.

Loading speed

Actually, it should go without saying, but not everyone got it. Fast websites, not just for better SEO, for the user, the more fluid, better user experience.

      Hello, Alfonso,
Thank you very much for your comment.
UX design signals can be monitored with various metrics related to user behavior on the site. It would highlight the average session time on the page, number of pages visited per session and the bounce rate. These metrics can be improved with UX design and this in turn improves visibility in the SERPs.
